Carolina Leid, 10 News WTSP

Carolina Leid is an anchor and reporter for 10News WTSP, after serving in various journalism roles in New York and Ohio.
“For 15 years, I’ve been lucky enough to tell people’s stories,” Carolina says. “They allow me into their homes in the worst and best moments and trust me to share those life-changing moments. Those opportunities have shaped me both personally and professionally.”
For almost a decade, Carolina worked for WABC-TV in New York City, where she took the lead on major national stories, including missing jogger Karina Vetrano, the Sandy Hook school murders, and the 2016 presidential election. Before that she was a lead reporter and anchor for WEWS-TV in Cleveland, Ohio, and her team earned an Emmy. But Carolina, a graduate of Newhouse School at Syracuse University, is no stranger to Florida: The Miami native has also worked in Orlando and Gainesville.
When she’s not working, Carolina loves spending time outdoors, bike riding and playing in the water, with her husband, James; their children, Adriana and Tomás; and their lab mix, Nemo. Carolina is fluent in Spanish and a proud Latina: Her mom is from the Dominican Republic and her dad is from Grenada. But if you ask them, they’ll tell you they are proud American citizens.
